USASpending.gov
All subsidy data on SubsidyLookup comes from USASpending.gov, the official public database of U.S. federal spending maintained by the Department of the Treasury. USASpending.gov consolidates financial data submitted by federal agencies under the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act).
What We Include
We collect financial assistance awards from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), filtered to award types that correspond to farm subsidy programs:
- Direct payments to individuals and entities (award type 06)
- Insurance and guaranteed/insured loans (award types 09, 10)
- Programs from CFDA (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance) including SNAP, commodity support, conservation, and crop insurance
Coverage and Limitations

Beginning around FY2020, USASpending.gov began redacting the names of individual subsidy recipients as a personal privacy protection measure. Geographic and program data remain fully available for all years.
Update Frequency
Our database is updated periodically as new data is published on USASpending.gov. USASpending data is typically published on a rolling basis with a lag of several months.
