About SubsidyLookup
SubsidyLookup is a public database of USDA farm subsidy payments sourced from USASpending.gov, the official U.S. government source for federal spending data. Our goal is to make it easy to explore how agricultural subsidy dollars flow to states, counties, programs, and individual recipients.
The database covers USDA financial assistance awards including direct payments and crop insurance programs. We include data going back to FY2000 and update periodically as new data becomes available.
What You Can Find Here
- State and county totals for every fiscal year
- Program breakdowns (SNAP, crop insurance, commodity support, and more)
- Named recipient profiles for historical data (pre-2020)
- Drill-downs by state × program and county × program
A Note on Recipient Names
Beginning around fiscal year 2020, USASpending.gov began redacting the names of individual subsidy recipients to protect personal privacy. As a result, recipient profile pages on this site reflect historical data through approximately 2019. Aggregate statistics by state, county, and program are available for all years.
About Long Pattern
SubsidyLookup is built and maintained by Long Pattern LLC, a small company that builds public-interest data tools using U.S. government open data. We believe federal spending data should be easy to explore — not locked inside spreadsheets or obscure agency portals.
